A scarce 19th century map published in Newport, Isle of Wight by A. Brannon. Very detailed and includes street plans of Cowes, Ventor and Bonchurch, Ryde, and Newport. 13 vignettes of significant local scenes and a location plan of the 'Britsh Channel' coast. Dated June 15th 1864.

Hampshire, Channel Islands and IOM Map by Walpole and Hogg circa 1784

Note this is the complete map as published including the Channel Islands which are often trimmed off.

 Geopge Augustus Walpoole (or Walpole) was British topographer responsible for only one notable cartographic work, The New British Traveller, which appeared in 1784. This was a five-part work and Walpoole was assisted in its preparation by A Society of Gentlemen. The folio atlas contains 23 plates most showingtwo, though sometimes four, maps of the English counties with decorative scrols top and bottom.
The maps are sometimes trimmed to the edge of the border, thus omitting the scrolls ant imprint. Although most of the maps were engraved by Thomas Conder, the signature of Hatchett is found on the second edition dated 1790.
